Climate Adaptation Management Strategies
Thursday, February 22, 2024
1:00 to 2:00 pm
The global changes in climate and their inherent variability are exerting influences on the hydrologic cycle, source water, and water demands that deviate from statistical trends based on historical records. Consequently, this is impacting the expected quantity, quality, and reliability of water supplies. In this webinar, strategies will be presented for assessing risk and uncertainty associated with climate change, as well as guidance on developing and implementing actions to enhance resilience and sustainability in utility management, facilities, and water sources. The session will also provide an approach to creating a Climate Action Plan (CAP), supplemented with a case study and adaptation measures garnered from flooding issues in Newport, RI.
